Paul Doherty 1946- P.C. Doherty was born in Middlesbrough, Cleveland, England and educated at Woodcote Hall. He studied History at Liverpool and Oxford Universities. He is now the Headmaster of a school in North-East London. He lives with his American wife and family near Epping Forest. He is the creator of: 1. 'Amerotke', adviser to the Pharaoh-Queen in ancient Egypt. 2. 'Brother Athelstan', a 14th century monk. 3. 'Hugh Corbett', clerk and later chief clerk and keeper of the Secret Seal in the household of King Edward I. 4. 'Mathilde of Westminster', physician and lady-in-waiting to Princess Isabella. 5. 'Telamon', an old friend of Alexander the Great. Doherty also writes under the pseudonyms 'Vanessa Alexander', 'Anna Apostolou', 'Michael Clynes', 'Ann Dukthas', 'C.L. Grace', and 'Paul Harding'.
