Shelley Costa Bloomfield grew up in Garwood, New Jersey. She currently lives in Chagrin Falls, Ohio and teaches creative writing at the Cleveland Institute of Art. She is the creator of:
1. 'Eve Angelotta', chef at her family’s Miracolo Northern Italian restaurant near Philadelphia.
2. 'Val Cameron', a senior editor at a New York publishing company.
