Pseudonym of Sara Hutton Bowen-Judd. She was born in Bradford, Yorkshire. In 1946, she married Anthony George Bowen-Judd. In 1957, the couple emigrated to Halifax, Nova Scotia. She is the creator of:
1. 'Anthony Maitland', a barrister.
2. 'Jeremy Locke', an attorney (under the pseudonym 'Mary Challis').
3. 'Richard Trenton', a banker and amateur sleuth (under the pseudonym 'Anne Burton').
4. 'Stephen Marryat', an attorney (under the pseudonym 'Margaret Leek').
