Anna Loan-Wilsey was born in Syracuse, New York. She currently lives in Iowa with her family. She is an author, biologist, librarian, information specialist, and the founding member of Sleuths in Time, a cooperative group of historical mystery writers, as well as a member of Sisters in Crime. She is the creator of:
1. 'Hattie Davish', a traveling secretary and amateur sleuth in the 1890s.
2. 'Stella and Lyndy Mystery' series featuring Stella Kendrick and Viscount "Lyndy" Lyndhurst, an American heiress and a British aristocrat in Edwardian England (under the pseudonym 'Clara McKenna').
