Pseudonyms: Jay Bernard, Colin Forbes and Richard Raine
 

Raymond Harold Sawkins was born in Hampstead, London. He also wrote under the pseudonyms 'Jay Bernard', 'Colin Forbes' and 'Richard Raine'. He is the creator of 'Tweed', Deputy Director of the Secret Intelligence Service (under the pseudonym 'Colin Forbes').
