David Fennell was born and raised in Belfast, Northern Ireland. He is an author and screenwriter. He is the creator of:
1. 'Grace Archer and Harry Quinn', a Detective Inspector and a Detective Sergeant of the Metropolitan Police in London.
2. 'Sleeper' series featuring Will Starling, a sleeper spy in WW2 (as 'J.D. Fennell').
