Margaret Scherf
1908-1979
 

Margaret Scherf was born in Fairmont, West Virginia. After college she worked as a secretary and a copywriter. In 1939, she became a full-time writer. She is the creator of:
1. 'Emily and Henry Bryce', a husband and wife decorating team.
2. 'Martin Buell', a high church Episcopalain priest in Farrington, Montana.
3. 'Lt. Ryan', a cop in New York City.
4. 'Grace Severance', a retired pathologist in Arizona.
