John Grisham
1955-
 

John Grisham was born in Jonesboro, Arkansas. He studied accounting at Mississippi State University. In 1981 he graduated from law school. He practiced law for nearly a decade, specializing in criminal defense and personal injury litigation. His first legal thriller was published in 1988.
