Pseudonym of Virginia Scharff. She was born in St. Louis, Mississippi. She currently lives in Albuquerque, New Mexico and is Professor of History at the University of New Mexico. She is the creator of the 'Mustang Sally Mystery' series featuring Sally Adler, a bar singer turned college professor in Wyoming.
