Ajay Chowdhury was born in India. He currently lives in London, England. He is an author, tech entrepreneur and theatre director. He is the creator of 'Kamil Rahman', a disgraced ex-detective from Kolkata, India who moves to London to start afresh as a waiter in an Indian restaurant.
