Miles Corwin was born in Los Angeles, Californie. He currently lives in Altadena, California with his wife. He is an author, professor in the Literary Journalism Program in the English Departmanet at the University of California, Irvine, and former crime reporter for the Los Angeles Times. He also writes non-fiction. A third crime novel called L.A. Nocturne (2015) was only published in French. He is the creator of 'Ash Levine', a detective in the LAPD's elite Felony Special Squad.
