Kate Dyer-Seeley grew up in Vancouver, Washington. She lives in Ashland, Oregon with her family. She is the creator of:
1. 'Bakeshop Mystery' series featuring Juliet Montague Capshaw, an artisan pastry chef (under the pseudonym 'Ellie Alexander').
2. 'Pacific Northwest Mystery' series featuring Meg Reed, a journalist for Northwest Extreme Magazine.
3. 'Rose City Mystery' series featuring Britta Johnston, a floral artist.
4. 'Sloan Krause', a brewmistress in Beervaria – Leavenworth, Washington (under the pseudonym 'Ellie Alexander').
