Stella Rimington
1935-
 

Stella Rimington was born in South London. She joined MI5 in 1965. In 1992, she was appointed Director-General of MI5. In 1996, she retired from MI5. Since then she has been a non-executive director for companies such as Marks & Spencer and British Gas.
