David Belbin
1958-
 

David Belbin was born in Sheffield, Yorkshire. He now lives in Nottingham. He has a degree in English Literature and American Studies from the University of Nottingham. After university, he taught English and Media Studies in Nottingham before becoming a full-time writer in 1994. Since 2002, he teaches Creative Writing at Nottingham Trent University. He mostly writes young adult fiction. He is the creator of:
1. ‘The Beat’, a series about a police station.
2. ‘Sarah Bone and Nick Cane’, a New Labour MP and her ex-lover.
