Tobias Jones was educated at Jesus College, Oxford and worked at the London Review of Books and the Independent on Sunday. From 1999 to 2004, he lived in Italy. He now lives near Shepton Mallet in Somerset with his wife. He is the creator of ‘Castagnetti’, a bee-keeping private detective in northern Italy.
