 John Eric Ruyle was born in Concord, California. He was an author, poet, and printer. He is the creator of 'Turlock Loams and Dr. Fatso', a detective and his sidekick living at 221B Quaker Street (parody on Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson). The pastiches were all short stories and were usually published under the author's own imprint of Pequod Press, although some other imprints were occasionally used by the author. All the stories appeared in limited editions. |
