Frank P. Ryan was born in Limerick, Ireland. He is an author and Honorary Senior Lecturer Department of Medical Education at the University of Sheffield, England. He also writes fantasy and science fiction novels and non-fiction. He is the creator of 'Sandy Woodings', a Detective Inspector and later a Detective Chief Inspector in Sheffield.
