Elizabeth Jenkins
1905-2010
 

Margaret Elizabeth Heald Jenkins was born in Hitchin, Hertfordshire. She studied English and History at the University of Cambridge. She taught English at King Alfred School in Hampstead. During World War II, she worked assisting Jewish refugees and London air-raid victims for the Assistance Board. She later worked in government positions for the Board of Trade and the Ministry of Information.
