Maurice Procter
1906-1973
 

Maurice Procter was born in Nelson, Lancashire. He was an author and police officer. He is the creator of:
1. 'Philip Hunter', a Chief Inspector of New Scotland Yard.
2. 'Harry Martineau', a Detective Inspector and later a Detective Chief Inspector in fictional Granchester.
