Colin Bateman was born in Northern Ireland. He was educated at Bangor Grammar School. He then joined the County Down Spectator, where he became the deputy editor until 1996. He also wrote the television series Murphy's Law. He is the creator of 'Dan Starkey', a journalist in Belfast. |
