Lawrence Block was born in Buffalo, New York. He was educated at Antioch College, Yellow Springs,
Ohio. In 1960 he married Loretta Ann Kallett. They divorced in 1973. In 1983 he married Lynne Wood. He has written
more than forty novels which have won him almost every major mystery award. In 2004, he received the Cartier Diamond
Dagger for a lifetime achievement in crime writing. He is the creator of:
