Henry A. Brinton was born in Wolverhampton, West Midlands. He was an author, political activist, and astronomer. He is the creator of:
1. 'John and Sally Strang', a Socialist Member of Parliament and his young daughter.
2. 'Noel Tracy', a police inspector (under the pseudonym 'Alex Fraser').
