Barry Chubin was born in Shiraz, Iran. He was educated in England and in the USA. He has worked as a speechwriter for the late Shah of Iran and in the oil industry. He was also a member of the Prime Minister’s Advisory Board, The National Energy Committee, and a member of the board and director of marketing of one of Iran's most prestigious oil engineering and contracting companies. He currently lives in Nice, France.
