Pseudonym of Sydney Fowler Wright. He was an accountant. In 1917, he was one of the founders of the Empire Poetry League and editor of Poetry from 1920 to 1932. He wrote numerous mystery and detective novels. He also wrote some crime novels under his own name and non crime fiction under the pseudonyms 'Anthony Wingrave' and 'Alan Seymour'.
