Nathan Dylan Goodwin was born and raised in Hastings, East Sussex. He is an author, genealogist, and educator. He also writes non-fiction. He is the creator of:
1. 'Forensic Genealogist' series featuring Morton Farrier, a forensic genealogist.
2. 'Fortress Dover' series featuring Detective Inspector Edwin Dalloway in early 20th century England.
3. 'Venator Cold Case' series featuring Madison Scott-Barnhart and her team at Venator, USA, a company that uses cutting-edge investigative genetic genealogy to profile perpetrators solely form DNA evidence.
