 John Harris was born in Kimberworth, Rotherham, South Yorkshire. In addition to crime fiction, he also wrote war novels under the pseudonym 'Max Hennessy'. He is the creator of 'Evariste Clovis Désiré Pel', a Chief Inspector of the Brigade Criminelle of the Police Judiciaire, in Burgundy, France (under the pseudonym 'Mark Hebden'). His daughter continued the 'Pel' series under the pseudonym Juliet Hebden. |
