Paul Johnston was born in Edinburgh, Scotland. He now spends much of his time on a small Greek island but regularly visits the UK. He is the creator of:
1. 'Quintilian Dalrymple', private investigator in Edinburgh in the 2020s.
2. 'Alex Mavros', a half-Greek, half-Scottish investigator.
3. 'Matt Wells', a crime novelist.
