Arthur Gordon Maling graduated from Francis W. Parker School, Chicago in 1940. In 1944 he obtained a B.A. from Harvard University . In the Second World War he was an ensign in the U.S. Navy from 1944 to 1945. From 1945 to 1946 he was a reporter for the San Diego Journal. After 1946, he worked as an executive manager for Maling Brothers, a retail shoe chain. |
