Sally Calkins Wood Kohn was an author, nurse, and short story writer. She graduated from Wellesley College in 1918, enlisted in the Army Nursing Corps and was stationed at Camp Devens in Massachusetts. After Armistice, she completed nurse’s training an worked as a public health nurse among the impoverished. She was married twice.
