George Braddon

Pseudonyms: Peter Conway, Alec Redwood and George Sava
 

Pseudonym of Georgi Alexei Bankoff (later it became George Alexis Bankoff). He was born in Samokov, Bulgaria and brought up in Russia. His father was a Bulgarian serving in the Russian Imperal Army. He lived in Germany when the Nazis came to power and in 1934 he fled to England. In 1938, he became a British citizen. He also wrote mainstream fiction and non-fiction.
