Jill Downie was born in Guyana, South America. She lived in England and Guernsey before emigrating to Canada. She lives in Ancaster, Ontario with her husband. She is the creator of 'Ed Moretti and Liz Falla', a Detective Inspector and his partner on Guernsey, Channel Islands.
