Peter Doyle was born in Maroubra, Sydney, Australia. He currently lives in Newton, New South Wales. He is an author, musician, visual artist, and teacher of Print Media Production at Macquarie University. In 2010, he received the Ned Kelly Lifetime Achievement Award. He is the creator of 'Billy Glasheen', an amateur sleuth in 1940s to 1970s Sydney, Australia.
