Ronald Barri Flowers was born in Detroit, Michigan. He currently lives in Honolulu, Hawaii. He is an author and criminologist. He also writes non-fiction books and novels for young adults. He is the creator of:
1. 'Bureaus of Investigation Mystery' series featuring different agents from different law enforcement agencies.
2. 'Criminal Case Files' series featuring different protagonists.
3. 'Dean Drake', a Jamaican-Italian American private investigator and ex-homicide detective for the Police Bureau in Portland, Oregon.
4. 'Eddie Naku', a private investigator on Maui, Hawaii.
5. 'Hawaii CI' series featuring different protagonists.
6. 'Leila Kahana', a homicide detective and composite sketch artist in Maui County, Hawaii.
7. 'Lynleys of Law Enforcement' series featuring different members of the Lynley family who work in law enforcement.
8. 'Riley Reed', an interior design consultant and amateur sleuth in Cozy Pines, Oregon.
