James Herbert was born in London. At sixteen, he went to Hornsey College of Art to study graphic design, print and photography. Four years later he went into advertising. Two years later he started to work with a leading London advertising agency. He began as a typographer but worked his way up to art director. The manuscript of his first novel was immediately accepted by the London publisher, New English Library. The rest is history. Visit also this site. |
