William Shatner was born in Notre-Dame-de-Grâce, Montreal, Quebec, Canada. He is an author and actor, best known for his role as Captain James T. Kirk in the television series Star Trek. He is the creator of 'Jack Cardigan', a private investigator in the 22nd century. The books were ghostwritten by science fiction writer Ron Goulart.
