Curt Siodmak was born Kurt Siodmak in Dresden, Germany. He was an author, screenwriter, and director. He acquired a degree in mathematics before beginning to write novels. After he heard an anti-Semitic tirade by the Nazi propaganda minister Joseph Goebbels, he departed for England where he made a living as a screenwriter before moving to the United States. He died in Three Rivers, California. He also wrote in other genres and non-fiction. He is the creator of 'Dr. Patrick Cory', a biochemist. |
