Rosemary Timperley was born in Crouch End, London. She was an author, short story writer, screenwriter, and teacher. She studied for a Bachelor of Arts degree in History at King's College London, graduating in 1941. She taught English and History at South-East Essex County Technical School in Dagenham, Essex. In the mid-1940s, she started submitting short stories to magazines and newspapers. In the 1950s she became a freelance writer and wrote a number of radio and television scripts. She continued writing novels, short stories and scripts until her death. She also wrote in other genres and she wrote one socio-political drama, People Without Shadows (1966) under her married name, Rosemary Cameron. |
