 Daniel Woodrell was born in Springfield Missouri. He earned a BA from the University of Kansas and a MFA from the Iowa Writers' Workshop. He lived in West Plains, Missouri with his wife, Katie Estill. He is the creator of 'Rene Shade', a police detective in St. Bruno, Louisiana. |
