Pseudonym of William Underhill. He lived nearly all his life in Bristol. In World War II, he served in the Royal Army Medical Corps. After the war, he trained as a teacher and spent the rest of his life in education, first as a primary school teacher and then as a lecturer in a college for further education. He is the creator of 'Mordecai Euripides Tremaine', a retired tobacconist and amateur sleuth. |
