Stephanie Jaye Evans was born in Abilene, Texas. She currently lives in Sugar Land, Texas with her husband. She is the creator of the 'Sugar Land Mystery' series featuring Walker "Bear" Wells, a former college football player turned minister in Sugar Land, Texas.
