Jody Jaffe was born in Southern California. She currently lives in Rockbridge County, Virginia. She has been riding and showing hunters for the past twenty-four years, and spent ten years as a feature writer for the Charlotte Observer. She is the creator of 'Natalie Gold', a reporter for the Charlotte Commercial Appeal in Charlotte, North Carolina.
