R.C. Lehmann

Rudolf Chamberd Lehmann was born in Ecclesall near Sheffield. He was an author, editor, short story writer, and Liberal Party politician. He is the creator of 'Picklock Holes', a parody on Sherlock Holmes. The stories first appeared in Punch under the pseudonym 'Cunnin Toil' (a parody on the name Conan Doyle).
