Keith McCarthy was born in Croydon, Surrey. He currently lives in Gloucestershire with his wife. He is an author and pathologist. He is the creator of:
1. 'Eisenmenger-Flemming Forensic Mystery' series featuring former forensic pathologist John Eisenmenger and solicitor Helena Flemming.
2. 'Lance Elliot', a doctor and amateur sleuth in Thornton Heath, South London in the 1970s.
