Margaret Reid Duncan Meek was born in Greenock, Renfrewshire, Scotland. She was an author and lawyer. She was married twice. She is the creator of:
1. 'Lennox Kemp', a struck-off solicitor turned inquiry agent in London.
2. 'Toby Wilde', a young lawyer (under the pseudonym 'Alison Cairns').
