Michael Garnet "Mike" Stewart was born in Vredenburgh, Alabama. He worked as a copy editor before studying law. After graduating from law school, he was admitted to the Alabama Bar and began to work as a corporate attorney. He is the creator of 'Tom McInnes', a young attorney in Alabama.
