Amelia Edith Barr
1831-1919
 

Amelia Edith Huddleston Barr was born in Ulverston, Cumbria, England. She was an author and teacher. In 1850, she married a prosperous wool merchant, Robert Barr and the couple emigrated to the U.S. She died in Richmond Hill, Queens, New York. She also wrote in other genres.
