Belton Cobb
1892-1971
 

Geoffrey Belton Cobb was born in Royal Tunbridge Wells. He was a sales director for Longman’s publishers and a contributor to Punch and other magazines. He was the son of Thomas Cobb. He is the creator of:
1. 'Cheviot Burmann', a Detective Inspector of Scotland Yard.
2. 'Superintendent Manning', a Detective Superintendent.
