Meg Gardiner was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and grew up in Santa Barbara, California. She currently lives in Austin, Texas with her husband. She is the creator of:

2. 'Jo Beckett', a forensic psychiatrist in San Francisco, California.
3. 'UNSUB (unknown subject)' series featuring Caitlin Hendrix, an FBI profiler.
