Barbara Reichmuth Geisler was born in San Francisco, California. She currently lives in northern California with her husband. She is the creator of 'Dame Averilla', the Infirmaress of the Benedictine Abbey at Shaftesbury, England in the mid-twelfth century. Visit also this site.
