Mark McShane was born in Sydney, Australia. He traveled the world before settling on the island of Mallorca. He is the creator of:
1. 'Jason Galt', a hypnotist in London (under the pseudonym 'Marc Lovell').
2. 'Norman Pink', a private detective with the firm of Peerless Private Inquiry Agents Ltd.
3. 'Appleton Porter', British Intelligence's tallest agent (under the pseudonym 'Marc Lovell').
4. 'Myra Savage', a clairvoyant.
